National Wear Red Day is Friday, February 3, 2012

Did you know that heart disease kills more women than all cancers combined? It is our nation's #1 killer, taking the lives of 2,200 Americans every single day.
Support us on National Wear Red Day
• Sell red hearts in your office
• Start a change drive or have employees donate to wear jeans and a red shirt to work
• Host a fundraiser at your office, like a bake sale or car wash

Having a mini-fundraiser at home or work is fun and easy, especially if you do it with friends! All money raised on Wear Red Day can be turned into you AHA Staff Partner and applied towards your team's 2012 Heart Walk fundraising.

Join us at the Go Red Strut on February 14
Please join us for the first annual Go Red Strut, a fun, free event in San Francisco's Union Square!

Well-heeled San Franciscans will step out in red stilettos and participate in a fun strut to bring attention to heart disease and encourage women and their loved ones to make it their mission to fight their No.1 killer.

Come cheer for them on February 14 from 11:30am - 1pm in Union Square.

In the fall of 2011 thousands of people participated in six Heart Walk events across the Bay Area. Together, we raised $2.6 million to fight heart disease and stroke

Did you know that heart disease claims the lives of more people than the next three leading causes of death combined? Here are a couple reasons why you should register today and begin fundraising to help fight heart disease and stroke:
- $500 will allow us to teach more than 2,500 children how to avoid obesity and live longer
- $250 saves lives by helping to distribute 8 innovative CPR Anytime kits to the community
- $100 allows one hospital to teach patients and health professionals the risks of stroke
- $50 gives 50 people educational materials that teach them how to personally reduce their risk of heart diseases and stroke
